Default Mufflex 14,Loud at idle or startup?

Hi guys, thinking about putting the Mufflex 14 on my truck but want to know how loud it is at startup and idle,is it almost like stock? The reason is,I want a muffler that sounds loud if you stomp on it but I don't want loud at startup or idle so I don't piss off the wife and neighbors.I have looked at a lot of youtube videos but alot of them have the camera 2 ft from the tips so it probably sounds louder than it really is,or is it? Also I don't want any freeway drone but from a couple of videos it sounds like almost none.Any input from you guys with the 14" would be appreciated, thanks.

If you dont want loud at startup & idle, the 14" isn't what you want. I would suggest you get the 24" and put an e-cutout before it. Loud when you want it, quiet when you want it. Or you could get the 18" and be right in the middle
I don't have a Magnaflow muffler, but I do have Flowmaster Super 10 (10"), and can tell you the 14" isn't right for your setup

I'm sorta on the opposite. I have always had flowmaster and my magnaflow 14 is quiet to me. It's growing on me fast but it's not loud. I can hear my truck in the house at idle but it's not bad. If your worried about it get the 18" because your in the middle. I'm glad I went with the 14.

I had a Flowmaster 40 on my Jeep for years and it was pretty loud and definitely had a loud highway drone, when the tailpipe gave out I went to a catback Banks Monster system which was pretty much a straight through muffler but had a more subdued startup and idle which i (my wife )liked better. If you can hear the Mufflex idle rumbling into the house maybe I should go with the 18".Any other 14" owners out there with an opinion, thanks.

a mufflex 14 person will never say it's loud because they are deaf already ...I have a 24" and at startup and idle, it is borderline loud for me..like said earlier..do a cutout if you want loud and you'll have the option to drive around and have a normal conversation with passengers when closed...

..and the advantage of a cutout(s) is that you will "outloud" even the smallest muffler or straight pipe when you want to...
