I considered Borla but pretty much everyone said it was just a more expensive Magnaflow with little to no sound difference. Can't say from experience because the only Borla I have ever heard, that I knew was Borla at least, was a stock Ram Daytona.

As far as Magnaflow, my dual in/dual out 14" sounds really good and not crazy loud under heavy throttle. It drones more than my GMC with Magnaflows did but WAY less than my Chevy with Flowmasters, both were 05-06's so it made for as good comparison. Back on topic, I have JBA shorty headers so I'm sure that adds some loud factor to my exhaust.

Another alternative is just run your stock exhaust and get your resonators cut out. I ran my truck like that for a while and it was just enough to make an aggressive note that you really notice it outside but it is stock noise level inside.

I've had more than a couple of complete Borla catback systems in the past and have nothing but VERY high praise about the build, sound qulity and overall finish/appearence of their product line.

Very highly recommended.

A big, fat, huge thumbs up!

I agree with Grubrunner when I had my GC SRT I got tons of compliments on my exhaust I had the Borla Type S it sounded great. People always asked me what kind of exhaust I had because the tone didn't sound anything like the exhausts they normally hear. I was also able to get about $700 for it the same day I sold my Jeep. I've never heard it on an R/T though but am sure it would sound great as well.

If anyone says Borla is a more expensive Magnaflow they are high! I know for a fact there is a huge difference. I had a 18inch magnaflow on my truck originally. It was a quick fix and sounded okay. After I added my ARH long tube headers I hated the way it sounded. I'm very picky about exhaust and it wasn't the sound I was going for. Anyway, I yanked it off and put on a Borla turbo xl muffler and 5 inch tips. When I get on it you know! It's not loud at idle and has a great sound. It is one of the best sounding exhaust systems on a truck I have ever heard. If cost isn't an option for quality I would highly recommend Borla to anyone!!!

Well it's headers and no resonators so it's loud but not anywhere near the magnaflow. This setup is louder at wot but has less drone than the magnaflow believe it of not.
