I know exactly how you feel, my friend! between being my dads maintenence guy, my buddie's renovation guy and a full time job, time is a little bit constrained! But, i will see how everything goes! hey, by chance, do you know the pinout for the hemi and the 4.7 tb?

Not sure what you mean by pinout....but if your looking to put a hemi TB on a 4.7L, don't.

Most hemi TB's are 80mm, some are 81mm, they are the same bolt pattern IIRC. The 4.7L TB is 74mm. It is a different bolt pattern than the hemi. It is basically a smaller version.

The problem is that the 4.7L manifold is 78mm. Putting an 80mm TB on a 78mm doesn't make much sense. We were going to try it anyway, but once we drew up an adapter in solid works we realized it would be a VERY complicated piece. Then we would have to hunt down electrical connector adapters(the wires are the same, but the connectors different). We found one but not the other. We decided it wasn't worth the time and effort and cost to do for a few hp and something that would be very odd and out of place(larger TB bore than manifold bore).

More info?

And is that for the older 4.7 or newer? I'm not sure if port spacing and bolt pattern is the same...?

I was going a different route with the drivers side and messed it all up. So I trashed them. I was gonna make another set but I didn't want to spend another 300 on a new set. So then I tried to make a mock up like stainless headers does and I needed more tools.

So the 3rd gen hemi headers physically fit(dimensionally in the frame/etc)?

I wonder if they'd fit in a 4th gen.

And where'd you get the flange made? Looks like you had to change the primary's near the flange, was that due to port spacing being off?

Hopefully in a year or so I'll have some free time to attempt this...

If they fit with the hemi i'm sure they will fit the 4.7l since your customizing them to fit. Had the fab shop make them for me. 125 plus shipping. Stainless headers will make them for 40 a piece. Yes the flange Ports are 1-7/8 and the primaries are 1-3/4. Have to flare them.

Yeah I don't know that anyone's tried 3rd gen hemi headers to fit in a 4th gen though. So not sure if they will fit in there or not. I'd think they would...

Cool thanks for all the info. Hopefully I find time to do this one day...
