yes, definitely helps, especially since you live in socal... you won't lose much coolant...drain a little first through the petcock into a bucket so that you can reuse and just keep a gallon of the 50/50 stuff handy. Also, if your gonna run wot, you'll want to make sure you have plenty of fuel and not run lean...especially on a hot evening of racin..

Yea ive seen those guys down there, they are pready fast. Mid to high 8s I think. Im going to put 295/45/r17 drag radials on the rear and go see what I run. Hopefully can keep up with them with my minimal mods.

my best so far is 9.38@75 with a 2.21 60.. 12 rcsb express, k&n, exhaust, 4.10s... the main reason i replied here is to find out more on the 180 tstat, does it actually make a difference in time in the 1/8?

yes it will...you'll notice when you start your truck in the morning and take off how responsive it is..our hemi's love bein cool and with a 180 it takes the temperature down...you could hot lap and still feel responsive...I'm goin to track this week and i actually swap my 180 for a 170 for the track..
