Default slight valve tick when started cold

Occasionally when I start my truck cold I get a slight tickk that only lasts a split second then its gone. I noticed it when they first started the truck on the lot but it was so quick I wasn't sure I heard anything so I had him start another truck next to mine and it seamed to have the same sound so I wrote it off. I've. Only noticed it a few times but wondered if anyone else has ever noticed this. Its only occasional and when the motor is cold

It's normal, the lifters are filling with oil is all, and until they do there's some play.

Bingo. (by the way, all engines with hydrolic lifters do this, whether you can hear it or not).

I own several vehicles and they all do it, some more than others.
