Default Magnaflow y-pipe problem

Im at the muffler shop right now and the installer says I don't need the y-pipe. He showed me his reasoning but everyone on here had one installed. What now?

He put the ypipe up to the spot next to where yours is and said it wasn't needed. He said that the factory pipe was already split and transitioned to the 3" pipe.

Did you tell him about the restrictive crimp on the OEM pipe?

He's an exhaust guy, not an engineer.

He is there to do what he is told. Put the lotion on the skin or get the hose again! lol

Tell him to kiss your a** and do the job, nuff said. If not leave and go to someone who will.

That's all it is. He doesn't want to do the necessary fittings you need to do it right. I'm glad my shop has been doing work for me for years. They don't ask questions. They do the job for cheap too. They installed my 14 magnaflow and Y-pipe for $30 lol.
