so my question is, since i already have the BT kit, would it be better to buy the spohn adjustable panhard bar or try and get a relocation bracket? I know the adjustable bar will bring the axle over but it will still be at the same angle if not make the angle worse. the bracket should bring the bar back closer to level right?

The bracket will bring the bar back close to level and also move your axle back into the right spot....or at least closer to it. Get the Spohn bar if you really want it perfect.

McGaughys= no shocks. No disrespect cause your setup is sweet, but I would bet most owners are looking for a drop with a decent ride for a decent price, and when you factor in shocks to the McGaughys kit it gets pretty pricey(I can't afford $600+ for shocks). If BT is gonna do the the 2/4 kit with springs/shocks/bumpstops/endlinks/(and hopefully) panhard relocation bracket, $359 from JEG'S is pretty hard to beat. We'll see..

A large part is do to the fact that a lot of us like RamFD, MoparOrNoCar, and myself got the kit at roughly the same time and the shift of the rear axle was an unknown issue. It wasn't until about 5 of us had the kit installed (numerous others had ordered by then because of our reviews) and noticed that the rear end was a bit iffy even after it had settled. I personally hold my opinion that its a great kit, the shortened end links weren't a deal breaker for me, it was an honest mistake on BT's part and was corrected by them as fast as they could. The track bar relocation does suck, I wish it came with a bracket to fix it like other kits.

I still hold that for a 2/4 drop BT is a great kit compared to the pricier Ground Force and McGuaghey's even though I'd prefer to have drop spindles as I like them and the relocation bracket is a plus.

I've taken the truck through the twisties of Tennessee and never had a complaint. It feels very well planted and handles a corner better than any other lowered truck I've driven and I do believe that's because of the Street Performance Shocks. I may not like the fact that I have to get an adjustable Pan Hard bar but I do commend Spohn Performance for reacting so quickly to a niche' market who initially made custom orders and than provided the product on their site And "Bell Tech seems to be the forum boner here" has to be one of the funnier sentences I've read on here I don't knock what the other companies provide, just from history, experience, and what I've learned so BT seemed like the best option to go to at the time.

Ive run Bell Tech shocks a few times in the past...I wasnt impressed. They didn't last long at all back then so they kinda lost my future business on that front.
The fact is the stock shocks will work fine with a 2/4 drop. The suspension will bottom out before the shock does. If you want a firmer ride, go with a firmer aftermarket shock.
If you run the stock shocks with a drop kit it'll be a little softer but still handle almost as well.
I'd say 95% of people that drop a truck do it for looks...not the all out handling a performance shock can help provide. Some may actually prefer the ride from a stock shock if they compared the 2...especially on a RCSB with the super short wheelbase.

All I'm saying is everyone complains about the track bar issue, not sending end links, sending the wrong springs, etc then turns around and recommends the kit. Or complain that McGaughys doesn't include shocks then turns around and buys an adjustable panhard bar.
It doesn't make much sense.

If I had to make the decision and I just wanted a basic kit and some good shocks...I'd buy the McGaughys kit for all the parts it does include and a set of red KYB Monomax shocks.
You'd have all the benefits of the Bell Tech kit plus the panhard bar would be right and you would have better shocks to boot for not a whole lot more money than the bell Tech kit plus a Spohn bar.

I did some research years ago and found out the valving on the KYB's was the same as the valving on the Bilstiens used on the Gen 2 Ford Lightnings. I was building an F150 at the time. I've used KYB's exclusively since then up until this truck I have now.
They really are a good product....much better than any Bell Tech shock I've used in the past.

I just got my BellTech 2-4 on Tuesday and plan to install it this Saturday morning. I think they lack in up front packaging and maybe a little slow with improvements but overall they have great tech support and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep the customer happy.

My choice the first time was due to the 2-4 being more of a 2-3 and with all the complaints about rear travel room I thought it would make that a little better.

I just read where another McGaughy customer is planning on cutting the springs to get the front where it looks right. That is 2 in the last month that have cut their springs. It is personal choice and my personal opinion is the McGaughy kit is a true 2-4 or maybe a 1.5-4 and that makes the rear look a little low for my liking. I have yet to see anyone put a tape measure on the fender for a before and after so I have a hard time believing guys are 5" in the rear. There is just not enough room to drop that far. I measured from metal to metal, no bump stop and no cup and it is 7.5" at full ride hight. 2.5" is not near enough travel not to mention a bump stop in that range of travel.

I also agree the spindle would be great but I didn't want to take the chance I would not like the front track width.

I am ready to have mine done. The only thing I am not sure of is to change the tires to 285-50-20 or wait for a set of 22". The local RAM deal is one of my customers and they have a 2012 RT left. They will let me trade my wheels if whoever buys it would rather have the 20's. Not likely but might be worth waiting to see.

I also ordered the rear air bag kit 60824. I want to have full use of this truck and be able to pull my open and closed car trailers. I had to use the dealers trucks when I had my RT and it's just not as much fun driving a loaner.

I got a full 5" drop with mine after cutting one full coil off the back. I don't remember the numbers right off hand but it was within 1/8"
What I see a lot though is people saying the R/T sits higher to start with? I dunno and didn't have anything to compare to.
It does appear to sit a bit higher than a regular truck and I have about 3.5-4" of travel in the back.
Measure yours after the drop front the center of the fender to the center of the axle and we'll compare numbers...maybe we can see if the stories of an R/T sitting higher are true. If so we should have close to the same measurement after your 4" drop since apparently I had to drop mine more to get the same result.

I spoke to the guys at Belltech this week and they said they currently have no ETA on the availability. They also stated they have not yet decided if they are going to hand these out to folks that already purchased the kit. I spoke to them on Tuesday.
