Well, let's see. Missing parts that should've been in the package to begin with. Wrong springs. Realizing the bracket IS needed... the 2nd guessing the distribution. Umm, no Belltech for me.

I have used Belltech for several builds, so I am not blatantly bashing them. During the late 80's and 90's they RULED the lowering world. The shocks are horrible for those of us looking for real performance from a kit. Personally, I prefer spindles. Easier on the alignment front, meaning less future tire costs.

I chose McG for my Ram for the spindles and all the necessary parts are in the kit. Installed completely in about 3.5 hours including painting the spindles.

I have spent over $1000 for a fixed drop kit before, and loved that truck and ride. Chisholm Suspension included everything... even sway bars and all bushings. My 85 S10 could hang with most sports cars at the time in the twisties and embarassed a few, with a 2.5l (4cyl for those that don't know) Iron Duke using Clifford Performance for the engine build.

AS was stated earlier, most people lower for looks. Some of us look into the performance too. BT built a kit for the LOOKS crowd. SO it works for them. Now BT has been hit by the performance crowd to step it up, and are playing catch up. No company could've expected the Ram to become such a popular performance vehicle.

Well put! I just lowered mine with BT. No issues, rides and handles very well. The first was my 11 RT. Same results but missing bump stop... The down side of BT... No spindles for me. Not until they can get the track width right.

Unbroken... I will get those measurement posted soon. I agree the RT might be higher. Now that my Crew is done I felt like the RT was a little higher in the back. Keep in mind that BT rear is more of a 3" drop. I did not measure the back but I did snap before and after on the front because all the talk from guys not getting 2" drops. Mine did drop 2" so I was happy. It measure 1.5 until I unloaded the front suspension by moving it. The bags made a world of difference.

Well, guys, I had the rear sway in the back of my express, and it got worse with the BT 964SP kit, due to softer rear springs. After i got the rear Hellwig swaybar, all of my rear sway is gone, and it just handles awesome now with both bars up front and rear, a little overbar for just using the rear on a SCSB. My Sphone adjustable panhand bar is way off of the angle, aint even close to being level and I do not suffer from any rear swagger.

I do understand the theory, and the basic rule of having your panhand rod even with the rear axle, but I cannot find any issues with the handling now with mine being off. Like I said, it was apparent stock, and exagerated with the BT kit, and non existant with the swaybars being swapped out.

As for the standard BT drop shocks, I do think they are nothing special, but I am real happy with the SP shocks from them, which of course I do have on mine now, and they made a great improvement in handling, especially apparent when I had driven my friends Ram with the same kit, but using the drop shocks. My turn in and balance and response with rough roads is much better, and the handling is faster and more precise, than his trucks, and he is thinking about getting the ST shocks also now.

I don't have the pictures where I can post them yet but the front from hub center to bottom of the fender lip is 18.5". The rear from center to lip is 19.75". Anyone who wants to post their measurements feel free. This is the BT 2-4 and as I said both my kits so far were closer to 2-3. The ride is outstanding with the spring bag combo. I wish I had done it the first time around. I am very happy with the BT kit, both times. I will buy another one even with all the issues that have been stated.

I thought by looks the back of yours set lower than my RT but the front looked the same. These are good numbers considering you cut coils. Glad it turned out for both of us as I am very happy with mine. I just had it aligned today with a little negative camber (that I wanted) and it drives great!

I'm sure the rear of mine came down a hair when I added the fiberglass tonneau cover...that thing is pretty heavy. I expect the front will come down a bit more when I can strap that Magna Charger on there. lol
If it doesn't I may take another 1/4 coil off the front to give it a little more rake.
