Default ? For Dynomax Superturbo owners.

I bought one for my express today. It's the 3'' to 2, 2.5'' one. When I look inside it I see no fiberglass matting. I can actually see the outside walls of the muffler clear as day. Is this normal? I bought it, because I only wanted something slightlty louder than stock and if it's missing it's matting that idea is blown.

Not all aft. mufflers have packing. Flowmaster is another brand that uses baffles instead of packing. This does not necessarily mean it is going to be loud. Remember our trucks also have resonators near the tailpipes to keep the harsh noise down. Give it a shot, you alrealy bought it. If you don't like it, you know to order a Flowmaster next!!

Mine sounded close to stock decibels on the inside and loved it. This was with Long Tubes >> 3" single Y with no cats >> dumped after the axle. Ran it for a almost 3 years before going with duals.

Video taken a few hours after install in 2010

Taken Jan' this year. Couple of weeks later is when i went to the much more head pounding Dynomax 3" DI/DO Ultra Flow X.

Sorry I should have deleted this or updated it. The box had a picture of a muffler with packing so that's why I thought it should have it. I called Dynomax and asked about it. My model comes with no packing.

It's just right for me after installation. Just loud enough for people to be able to tell it's not a stock exhaust and best of all NO DRONE in MDS mode. I think it may be a better option than the 20 inch Magnaflow if you want something mildly louder than stock and no drone.

I have to give you credit for this one. I watched your top video and read your opinion on the muffler and that's the main thing that influenced me to buy this. I'm glad I did.
