Default Mufflex 24" and loudness

Anyone running the mufflex 24" muffler? Just curious how quiet it is? and did you still feel and performance difference? looking at switching to it and the better y-pipe....feedback??

I have the Mufflex 24" but I dont have the Y-pipe mod yet.
Just doing the muffler helped quite a bit and also kept my Ram pretty quiet overall.
It has a lower more aggressive idle tone to it, and it sounds meaner when accelerating hard.
Its louder than the stock muffler for sure, but Magnaflow mufflers enhance the lower / deeper exhaust notes so it isnt tinny sounding like chambered mufflers can sometimes be. In my opinion I have no issues with any drone type noises in the cabin when cruising, and my truck is a daily driver so cabin noise was a big concern for me.
The factory muffler is restrictive and heavy, so im happy with the 24" Mufflex.
Hope this helps

I running the 24" mufflex. I love it. quiet enough not to be annoying but when you get on it you know it's not stock. I also have the volant cia which helps give you a little more growl sound in the cab. I do have the Y pipe but haven't installed it yet.

I put on the 18" Magnaflow & duals out the back
after 70,000 miles it is still too quiet & i am a country music fan, not a rocker
i don't want LOUD, just mellow sounds around me
the only time i hear my exhaust is between buildings, under bridges, tunnels, etc

I am sorry for the wrong part number. I didn't realize it has the duels. Here is the part number for the center inlet, duel outlet in 24" 12388. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...388#fragment-2

I AM NOT POSITIVE ON THIS PART. I went online and it says you needed duel out (2.5") and center in(3") and that is what I found but I have never used it so I can't guarantee it.
