I've owned Ford Trucks before and have never had an issue with them. I've seen the commercial you're talking about and if you noticed they only say it blow's the "Dodge" away. It never states what type of Dodge truck they're talking about. My brother was bringing this up earlier today. They may be comparing the Ecoboost 6 cylinder, which is what they were pushing to the Dodge 6 cylinder engine. They certainly didn't mention the Hemi engine.
I don't care for fords, but honestly they are making good engines currently. I dislike the rest of the truck for the most part, but all of their engines(including the ecoboost v6 which has more torque than the hemi at any rpm) are good engines. Not saying I prefer the v6 to the hemi, it's certainly more complex and probably less reliable(yet to be determined) but it is no doubt a good engine. And even though they claim high mpg it's realistically on par with the hemi.
The eco boost is quite revolutionary. I just foresee costly non warranty turbo repairs and not mention dastardly turbo lag. My grandfather has an eco boost and it really isnt an awful looking truck and the fit and finish is pretty nice. I personally believe we out class them. My wife has the Sync system and i really don't care for that one bit.
