Default Flow Master vs Magnaflow

I recently purchesed the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust but after doing some research I saw everyone is sayin the Magnaflow is better. Will there be that much of a difference in preformance? I save over $200 going with the Flowmaster so I though it was a good idea at the time, but now Im starting to doubt myself and it hasnt even been installed.

It will only be a few horsepower difference. Unless you plan to all out race or add boost, it doesn't matter. They sound good, as long as it's a stainless steel kit. The alumanized pipe will rust after a while

The only real difference you notice is sound. I went with magnaflow on my ram cause it gave me the sound I.wanted. I have run many flowmasters on my Mustangs. Just depends which.sound you prefer.

I love my twin Flowmaster Super 44's on my 11' Charger R/T but love my Magnaflow 12198 on my RAM. It's all personal preference. The only difference in the kits is the muffler and the tips. The Magnaflow kit has the 5" double wall tips where as the Flowmaster kit has 4" tips. There's your $200 difference, the tips.

I prefer the Magnaflow. It's a deep, throaty, tone. I think the flowmaster sounds just a bit harsher. It's all preference really.
