Default Help! Starts dies immediately

My 01 5.9 will start, idle for 2 seconds then die. I just replaced the alternator a month ago so i checked the electrical connections to it and they were fine. Today i fiddled with my tps and was able to start and idle the truck. When id press on the gas it would be fine until about 4 to 4500 rpm then it would die again. Any ideas?

Since your fiddling with the TPS caused a change, I'd change it for a new one. It's probably due anyway.

So i replaced the tps and the idle air control valve and seafoamed the hell out of my throttle body. Worked like a charm, took an hour and cost 80 bucks....win.
