Yeeeaaaahhh, I dont think so on that one. If it was an SRT8,with the 420hp 420lbs then he wouls have really spanked you from a roll and most definitly roasted you from the line i have squared up to one of those and uh yeah its pretty damn quick. My guess is some jerk put the badges and ground effects on a stock GC and thought he had something. Jeez I hope the poor bastard didnt get taken at the car lot on that one lol.

Even a regular GC with the 5.7 is a good bit faster than these rams. My wife has one and it was much faster than my ram up until I started modding the ram.

It shouldn't have been close at any point.

He should of spanked you through the whole band......

You sure it really happened as you claim?

You sure about that? My mom's GC with the hemi does not feel anywhere near as fast as my Ram. That's just a butt dyno talking but both herself and her husband agree with me. It'll take the bends better for obvious reasons, but in a straight line I feel like it's no comparison between the 2.

Positive, the GC with the 5.7 was faster stock vs stock. On a flat out run from a dig it would always pull at least one or two truck lengths on the ram by the time we reached about 85. Keep in mind that my truck is a 4wd loaded QC so it is heavy for a 1500.

As is mine. Maybe the ram just feels faster due to it's stature compared to the GC.

Was the SRT a WK1 (06-10) or WK2 (12-present)? not that it matters because either will walk away from your truck. I just sold my 06 SRT and that bitch was a monster. From a dig you have ZERO chance I dont care what you have done to a truck. If you claim you beat a SRT, 1. It was a fake. 2. Your full of sh!t. I dont want to hear maybe the SRT guy let off, no SRT driver lets off. And 120 is EASY for a SRT, had mine at 140 felt like I was going 80.
For all you guys thinking of picking street fights with em DONT

The new gen SRTs are running right about where you are, bone stock. I was back on the LX Forum recently and was amazed by some of the numbers.

Put your mods/money in a Jeep SRT and you're getting your guts stomped out. That's why street/roll racing is rubbish for the most part (unless your friendly with the other "racer" and you KNOW it's a race, and you know what each other's mods are). Strap it to a dyno, back it up on the track and know that there's ALWAYS someone faster than you...

Back when I had my M-B S55 AMG I KNOW I sent plenty of people running home and typing in "S55 AMG" in Google...no one expects a full size saloon like that to be THAT fast, and it's practically a slug compared to what they're offering now. Really wish I picked up that S65 earlier this year...I'd get the vanity plate "BUTHRT" (Butt Hurt) for it!

A 12.5 will not walk a SRT those things do 13 stock. With a tune and exhuast mid to upper 12's. Many of the SRT boys toss on super changers or a turbo(s) then its game over for almost anything on the road. That 12.5 is hauling in a truck though. Typing in this thread makes me miss my SRT.
