Default Power lock problem

Hey guys, i am having a problem with my power lock on the passenger side front door. Of course my warranty expired 2 months ago! When i hit the lock button it moves slightly, but doesnt lock. All of the other locks work fine. Could the lock actuator be shot? I would like to fix this myself. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well I hate to say it but the actuator is most likely shot. When I bought my ram from carmax last month the passenger rear door was doing just what you said. I got lucky and it was covered under the carmax warranty. I think it ended up costing in the neighborhood of $140 to get fixed from the dealer.

Good luck!

Thanks Arth, i appreciate your input. I am going to replace the actuator. That has to be the problem.
