express yourself is on a distinguished road
Default question

Does the paddle like ,manual shift button come standard on most of the 12s? My express was plain on interior , but that is a cool set up for drag if I ever would do such a thing

S.C. Express will become famous soon enough

My express is fairly plain, no fancy radio or power windows or locks. I did get the C.C, EVIC and a El. Brake controller. Mine came with the manual shift button. Flappy paddles would have been sweet! The manual shift button is not good for drag racing. I have noticed mine is very slow to respond, it has to be held for a full second or more for the gear to change. A quick tap does nothing. All the fast guys on here say to leave it in drive, turn on tow/haul and disable traction control for the fastest E.T.'s.
Did you not get one?

I did not try it much yet, but I can see a lag that wouldn't be any faster than auto. Might be useful to down shift from a roll. Haven't tried turning off traction controls, turned off tow haul but haven't got on it. I had a Chevy Avalanche that turning off tow gave it a little more grunt. This truck now is the fastest truck I have had yet, I have had 2 other Hemi trucks ,and a 6.2 caddy EXT with a super chips tuner. Dodge got it right with this generation. I have a K/N intake and a Magna flow muffler. I kept the resonators, with the advice of Magna Flow technology rep. I may make it a garage queen next year , with new rims , leather, and a supercharger. Dodge has made it possible with a 23,000 muscle truck.

X2 on the drag race. Don't think it would be good at all. But mine does respond pretty quickly for general shifting. My favorite thing to do is use it (and not the brake) to downshift to get to 20 MPH in front of my local school speed zone. The morons who would be speeding past there if they were not behind me, and do not see my brake lights have a pretty wide-eyed look on their faces when they have to brake unexpectedly!!!! Kind of like that!
