Default New wheels and tire and lift help

Hello I need some help and suggestions please. I am after some new wheels and tires for my truck but am struggling to decide which ones I know I want black wheels and I like the look of more tire than wheel does that make sense, now I have looked at many gallerys but still have not seen that perfect set, also thinking of a lift I think 6inch is a little to much as I pull a horse trailor will a 3 or 4 inch lift look naff.

So I need to know what gallerys do you think give me the best look also will I have to do alterations to the steering or include spacers.
Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you for looking.

When I was looking for wheels I went to eBay, just search "Dodge Ram 2500 black wheels" a ton of selections come up, then if you find a style you like you will have the manufacturer name and can search them, start with Ion, or Moto, Fuel, and Monster

Check out bigwheels.net for a huge selection of wheels and tires. They also have great package deals.

I think a 4" lift with some 35" tires would look good on your Ram and it won't be so high as to mess with your ability to tow unless your horse trailer is a gooseneck or a fifth wheel. If it is, the neck on the trailer portion of the hitch might need to be shortened or you can raise the trailer up off the axles a bit. Otherwise, the rear may drag a bit going into or out of parking areas that have a slightly raised angle.

If you like seeing some sidewall, go with a 17" or 18" wheel. That will allow you, with the lift, to put on a 70 or 75 series tire with a good amount of sidewall.

Sorry, can't pick the wheels for ya as you need to pick what looks good. Just don't go too cheap and check with the wheel company or your local tire & wheel shop on their recommendation for a wheel that will hold up to towing and the additional loads.

As I said, it might be easier to put a leveling block between the axles and the frame to get that lift on the trailer vs. doing something at the hitch end.

4" shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Good luck!

Have you considered leveling the front of the truck and running 35's?
I have a HBS leveling kit on my truck and I like the stance.
Carli makes a few different set-ups for leveling and complete kits.
W/A 3" kit you wont have to worry about the trailer at all because you would only be lifting the front. I would add airbags to your list of stuff if you lift or level the truck, for towing purposes.
