Default ECM Software

New guy here with an 2011 quad cab 6.7 diesel, 4wd. Am trying to locate a programmer for the mentioned engine. I have called a couple of manufacturers and was told that Ram has locked the ECM and no one offers an OBD plug-in programmer for it at this time. There are, however, a couple of folks out there that offer some type of "box" that wires in under the hood; say goodby to your warranty.
This subject has probably been covered previously so pardon the repeat. I normally use the truck in a non towing situation so I am more interested in mpg than speed and power, I do sometimes pull a 20' trailer with a couple of bikes in it so would probably also want to program it for this application from time to time.
Suggestions welcome.

Despite the warranty concerns of any owner, the 4th gen truck owners are still outta luck when it comes to getting a programmer. CJD encrypted the PCM software and it hasn't been cracked yet.

One thing some folks do is get a 2010 PCM and have that programmed.

ok, you lost me on that one, see if this is what you are saying, a 2010 6.7 diesel programmer will work on the 2011 or go out and buy a 2010 ECM and then use a 2010 programmer? Will a 2010 ECM work or will it just be best to wait for something to hit the market? Super Chips told me that they hope to have something by Spring/Summer 2013.
