Default 5.9 wont Idle or accelerate

Swapped in a 360 in place of a 318 in a 99 1500 4x4 sport tried the computer that came with a 109k 360 tried the original computer same issue upon cold start up will idle fine but wont accelerate past 1800 rpm without popping and farting and backfiring after idling for 15 minutes, starts to increasingly misfire and pop idle and acceleration completely turns to crap new crankshaft and cam position sensor tried shutting down and resatrting runs badly until it completely cools down

sounds like your not getting proper fuel. if i was you i would see if the fuel pump is pumping enough gas. you might have to get a fuel pump for a 360. the original fuel pump that was fueling your 318 may not be able to satisfy the thirst of the 360.

What about feul flow? Volume is equally as important as pressure.

Look down thru the throttle body. Is the inside floor of the intake manifold oily? Thinking you have a very badly blown intake plenum gasket.

ok looked at the inside of the intake not oily not dry but no visible oil looks like some wetness but not sure if that would be an all the time thing or only when hot putting the exhaust back together with a different cat and hoping that might make some change when i clear the ecu and let it sit for awhile it runs and revs awesome but as it heats up i hear the periodic misfire and it takes about 3 minutes once that starts to happen for it to nosedive into constant miss and sputter with almost no idle quality

The fact that it only does it when it's hot makes me think maybe the ignition coil is getting hot and breaking down. Also double check your ground wire connections.
