Default First Post...need some help on lowering kits

Hey guys,

First post here but I've been snooping around trying to gather as much info as possible.

I have an 04 1500 QC that I'd like to lower on 22's with a respectable tire....no rubber band crap. Looks like the 3 main manufacturers for the Rams are Belltech, GroundForce and McGaughy's. Each seem to have a kit right around the 2-3" front and 4-5'' rear. I'd like to avoid doing a C-Notch if possible but if need be thats fine. I just wanted to get some opinions on ride quality, craftmanship, etc etc.

Also what size tire would you guys recommend for a 22x9?

Thanks in advance!...sorry for the watermark

Finished product will end up looking something like this.....

Your body style can handle 4/6 I believe pretty easy. I would go for that because I have a 2012 with 2/4 and its not low enough.

For the 3rd gen, you can comfortable do a 4/6 and only bottom out occasionally. As for tires, if you want 22s, then something like a 265/40R22 will give you plenty of meat and still tuck. You should really roll the inner fender for peace of mind, but also look at your backspacing on the wheels you buy, and don't go any wider than 9" on the front wheel rims and you should avoid any rubbing issues

Thanks for the quick replies everyone! Glad to hear a 4/6 will work on 22's....roads aren't terrible here and I'm pretty cautious around pot holes and man hole covers.

The truck only has 17,xxx miles on it so I just want to make sure I'm not setting it down the wrong path...

Anyone have a preference on kits? And since it seems the 4/6 will work....I'm guessing I'll be ok without a notch then too?
