Exclamation Intermittent Dash Lights

I'm having some intermittent electrical issues with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500.

When driving some times the ABS light + Brake light + low washer fluid light + horn not working + head lights come on + wipers not responsive.

These will happen generally all at once and then disappear one by one after a minute or so, but the ABS light + Brake light stays on until I shut the truck down.

I've already disassembled the fuse box and cleaned the circuit board and all contacts. The problem still happens.

Any thoughts or ideas what I should test/replace next?

Get the codes from the ABS module. There are a couple of different thoughts that come to mind and the codes will help in establishing a starting point.

How do I get the codes?
I only have a scanner for when the check engine light comes on.

Thank you!

You'll need to have someone with an ABS capable scan tool pull them for you.

Okay, thanks. Let me make some phone calls this evening and locate one. I'll post back up here in the next day or two. Thanks man.

UPDATE:
I'm still trying to find someone who has that code scanner. I took my truck to Advance auto parts, they didn't have that scanner but they did check my battery. This is what it read:

Voltage: 12.55v
Measured: 279 CCA
Rated: 850 CCA
Temperature: 123 degrees F

Default No Codes found

Yesterday I took my truck to a local shop where the mechanic spend about 2-1/2 hours scanning the ABS codes and chasing the system. Cost was $70. But he didn't find any codes.

The problem is intermittent. When I drove the truck home, no ABS/Brake dash lights came on. Got in the truck this morning, drove to corner store, BINGO ... ABS/Brake dash lights came on.

Also, here are some updated symptoms:
Dashboard ABS + Brake light comes on, wipers don't work, headlights come on, turn signals work on dash but not on lights themselves, no brake lights, horn doesn't work, Low Washer Fluid dash light comes on. After 5 or so minutes everything begins to work again EXCEPT the ABS + Brake dash light stays on.

Suggestions please! I can't drive my truck because of the NO BRAKE LIGHTS when this happens.

Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking you have a Front Control Module that is on its way out.

Default Fcm

Thanks bro. I've located a FCM on eBay for about $220 from a Chrysler dealer. All's I have to do is send them my VIN so they can verify the part. The new part is not the exact same part number (the last letter is different), but it's a newer version from the same one I have now.

Also, would it be recommended that I first replace the ABS sensor on the rear axle? Or would this be a waste of $35 ?

I believe my truck has only the one: it's not a 4x4, v-6 engine, found the sensor on the top-center of the rear axle.

Thanks guys.

Just keep in mind that my FCM guess is an educated guess and not an actual diagnosis. Also, I wouldn't replace anything with the ABS until the other problems are corrected.

Default Thanks

I understand. From what all I've been reading around the Internet, the FCM controls all those things which I'm having symptoms with. All's I can do is try it and see what happens. If it doesn't resolve the issues, I'll just have to re-sell it and go from there.

I plan on purchasing a new FCM after the 1st of November, so after I do I'll post a follow-up and let you know if that solved the problem.

Thank you! I really appreciate it.
