Default Heat ??

I have a problem with my heat. I have a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 3.9 . I start it up and warm it up. It blows cold air. If I rev it up a little the heat works fine. Let it run at idle and no heat. Would this be a bad blend door actuator ??

Since the blend door is electronic it sounds more like an issue of coolant flow to the heater core. Check the coolant level and condition.

That is what i thought as well. I changed out the thermostat and changed the coolant. I still have the same problem as before.

there is a possibility that the heater core is at least partially blocked

after your vehicle warms up, are both heater hoses close to the same temperature ?
if not, you can disconnect the 2 heater hoses at the engine end, ( it is easier to disconnect them at the end furthest from the heater )
the hose coming out of the water pump is likely the supply side, the other hose should be the return side,
Using safety glasses at a minimum to protect yourself
put air pressure or water pressure into the return hose
that should back flush the gunk in the system
Then hopefully you will put it back together & everything may work properly
You may have to Burp the air out
