Most likely an axle joint. Axle joints are the link between your axle half-shaft coming from the differential and the axle stub which actually drives your wheel when you are in 4wd. they are universal joints, which pivot enabling drive energy to be maintained throughout your wheels' steer angle. You will find one on each side on the front axle assy in the opening between the axle housing and the hubshell which has the brake rotor/caliper assy mounted on it. with a screwdriver or other prybar, look for slop in the joint assy. Once you look on the right, also look on the left. Not the easiest job, but if you have an oxy/acytl torch, a 1 11/16 deep socket, and some other sockets, and something to drive em with, it's do'able at home. Also, at this time, check for slop in the double cardan joint at the back of the front driveshaft, it's been my unfortunate experience that they all seem to go bad around the same time. Don't engage your 4wd with a bad axle joint, or you run a very real risk of wiping out the axle and stub drive yokes when the joint breaks, making your repair go from 15$ worth of parts to ... well, lets say, very pricey, for a new axle assy...

My clicking noise is coming from the ball joint. Something to check out.
