Default Will 2013 Ram headlights fit on a 2012?

Hey everyone. I've looked at both models and the headlights in the 13's look almost identical, shape wise to the 2012 Headlights. Besides the fact that the 13's are fitted with the projector HID lighting. This is the reason I' am asking this question. My previously owned car had projector's and wow what a world of a difference in lighting between HID projectors and halogen lamps. I'd love to do a professional retrofit on my Ram, but am not ready to fork out the thousands for the job lol. Back to my question, will the 13' headlights fit on a 12 with a direct swap? If so I'll just wait til the 13's are released and possibly pick some of those sweet projector headlights and possibly do a direct swap!

I will say they should fit but I can't say if they'll work. Anyways I know for a fact they are $579 a light...at least from my dealer.

Wow, 579 a light?! That's pretty steep haha. What do you work at a Dodge dealership? They should work. The new 13' headlights should be plug and play also. I believe they would work in the 12 lol.

They will not work. I found a set on sale and the new "premeium" headlights only have one connector. Our older rams have two connectors...one to control the high/low beam and the other that has the turn signal bulb in it.

These new headlights are all controlled by one. I am sure someone could "make" it work if they wanted to play test which lead is what on what with the new headlight but as it stands I can say without a doubt they are not plug and play and won't work on the older Rams.

Figured I'd post this up here too for everyone to take a look at.

First mounting bolt checked:

Second mounting bold checked:

The third clip pushed right in and clicked closed so that means it fits!

More to come once I get them functional. Please feel free to ask for anymore pictures of the headlights or any questions you guys may have.

The total for the headlights should have been MUCH higher than what I paid. The dealer will list them for $579 a light.

Here is a post from my mod thread. This was me testing the pins and finding what worked.

Please understand that I did this just so I know which pins did what. That way tomorrow I know where which wire needs to go so I can make this functional.

Turn Signal:

Low Beam:

High Beam:

As always please let me know what you guys think.
