Default convert single rear wheel to dually????

Hey guys,
I have a 2003 ram 3500 4 x 4, quad cab single real wheel short bed. I have a 37 foot fifth wheel camper. I also have a 2011 4 x 4, crew cab dually. I pulled the camper with my 2003 for several years until I bought the dually. Needless to say, the dually handles the load much better. Last year, I decided to weigh the camper and it came in at over 16000 lbs. I am going to sell the dually but, now, knowing the weight, I am a little concerned about pulling the camper with the 2003. I am wondering if it would be possible to convert my 2003 to a dually. I have confidence in the suspension and can put air bags on it but I think the weak link its the tires. Does anyone know if this has been done? Obviously, I would need to do something for fenders, which I am sure can be worked out. i am just wondering about clearnace, etc. This might be a crazy idea??

Default

you'll need front and real axles out of a dually. You will need mega cab dually flares as theyre smaller than the 8' bed dually flares and will fit on your bed. Google image it theres been quite a few done. Not sure how the real leaf packs compare from SRW to DRW
