Is the "superchips" thing something that stays in the truck? Or is it something that I can go and have done at the shop and not have to buy the $400 tool?

If I only need it once to program the computer, I'd rather just take it down and have it done.
You have to buy the hand held tuner. The superchips flashpaq is ~$300. You plug it into your OBD2 port and follow the steps, takes about 15 minutes to adjust things and tune the truck. Then you unplug it and leave it somewhere safe(under the seat). If you go to the dealer you need to retune it to stock so they don't over write your tune when they update the pcm.

I bought it off a used lot. It appears to be a repo.

My point was more, why do they even make these trucks without those things? This is 2012, all cars should have NAV and we should be able to update them by WiFi.

Like I mentioned before, if I were to list all of the things I like about my truck, we would be here all day. I was stopped by an old man in Wal-Mart parkinglot Sunday who told me my truck was (and I quote) "a work of art."
There are just a few things that really make me scratch my head.

My 2011 List Of Changes I would Like:

1). Better Freaken Headlights - Sorry, but these factory headlights are just sub-par.
2). Front end height more level with the rear end. Way too much rake in the front.
3). Integrated Factory Rear Air Bags to control the rear end sag.
4). Chrome front & rear bumpers (were not an option on my Outdoorsman).

Not everybody wants that stuff. My truck doesn't have any of that stuff and it still has way too much for what I want. Unfortunately you can't even buy a truck with manual door locks and windows anymore... I have less than 70k miles and a door lock motor has already failed. My old truck went 220,000 miles before I sold it and the door lock never had any issues(manual)

1. Not so cheap a dashboard (every damn thing is cracked)
2. Stronger, less power robbing transmission
3. Better stereo
4. More displacement (no replacement for displacement)
5. Defroster back window

Some of the shortcomings I felt about my truck I have already fixed (brakes, gears)

1. Crappy high beams.... the worst I've ever had.

2. Tiny moonroof on a large vehicle...... and I wish it would retract ALL the way.

3. Terrible range on the Homelink button.... pathetic!

4. Cornered convex mirrors would have made HUGE sense on a vehicle this size.

5. OEM lockable tailgate and Rambox lids [for RB owners]
