Default Just installed some Spyder Black housing Duals... Impressed!

I wanted a simple cosmetic lighting change for my new RAM. I went with 20" black SRT replica wheels and thought the chrome housing on the factory headlight stuck out like a sore thumb!

I explored the popular bake and spray DIY mod and almost went that route. Then I read about the guy who would do the dirty work for $175, and then I read about Spyder branded lights that are DOT approved, black housing full replacements with a pretty good reputation, for only $192 shipped on Ebay from CarID. Needless to say I went that route.... and am very pleased initially with fit / finish and overall look of the lights. Install went well with everything fitting perfectly.

I try my hardest not to buy JUNK. And while I can rarely afford the best of anything I think these lights are a good value. I was hoping they would not feel cheap in my hands and they did not. They actually felt just like the factory lights in regards to type of plastic and thickness. I weighed both lights and they both weighed in right at 5lbs. Now the real test will be how they hold up, fogging and UV damage, etc.... so we'll see how that goes. I'm hanging onto my stock lights just in case these look bad in a couple years and I don't feel like buying new ones. I snapped a few pics, and will post some daytime pics soon. I think it looks pretty mean!

Ha! Yeah I know... coulda saved some money and did it myself, I'm ALL for DIY, my Jeep gets DIY lovin all the time, I just wasn't feeling this one though. Maybe I'm more into welding and grinding, than making things pretty anymore.

Forgot to post up my next mod..... I need some opinions! The carbon is just crazy expensive so I've ruled that out... I'm not sure about it saying "express" instead of Mopar... or something else. I think the "express" is cool though.... and I'm proud of this trim level just as much as if it was a sport or R/T. I love the value it represents..... with my roll up windows!

"rebadgedesign" is the website. I guess he does a lot of Dodge stuff, and I heard of him on this Forum. The black is actually gloss outside the M and matte inside the M which I love..... it doesn't show up on my computer. Maybe it does on others though. I haven't committed to them yet, but am pretty sure I gotta have them. The Owner's name is Nathan and he was very quick to respond via e-mail and provide this rendering.

I'm not sure if he has the ability to "emboss" portions of the emblem. Shoot him an e-mail, maybe he can.
