Default Stock Truck needs a place to start with MOD's

I have a 2004 Ram 1500 SLT (see attachment) and as it is my first truck I need a place to start for adding MOD's to it. I don't know if this is the right place to post this but any help y'all could give me would be great. I'm a college student so I don't always have a lot of expendable cash for my truck so any lower cost parts and accessories you could recommend would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Truck looks nice, clean and in great shape. Mods are something personal, so depending on what you feel you want your truck to be will determine what we might give you as idea's

If your looking at lifting, there are a few guys here that have some nice setups, FastNugly comes to mind but there are plenty others that have some nice setups, want it lowered, check out indeepblue, want some lights, chrome, just ask and someone will reply.

Congrats on the nice red truck. will be checking your progress

I was thinking of starting with making it louder but I don't know exactly how to go about that. Also I'd love to get a good brush guard for it, some off road lights for it possibly a lift kit in the future. Thinking about doing what indeepblue did to his lights only with red instead.

For the Exhaust there are a tonne of stuff out there, Since your truck is not a 4th gen I would go see a local exhaust shop and get a quote to have the original exhaust on the truck replaced with a Magnaflow, depending how loud you want it, there are usually 3 sizes to go with, 24, 18, and 14, 14 being the loudest and may get you tickets depending your local laws, I have an 18 on mine and love it, if you don't hit the gas hard, it nice and rumble if you hit it hard, you really hear it growl. Many use the magnaflow but its not the only one out there.

Check out Gotsbrains build, he has a really nice Brush guard, you can usually attach a set of lights if not a few sets on Brush guards, my old grand cherokee had 2 sets of Hello 500's on the front.

As for lift there are again a ton of options, that I can't help you with, but talk to FastNugly, he knows lots on that.

All the best

nice truck. mine is pretty much the same. there is a lot out there you can do and the bottom line is how much do you want to spend. i put about 3000 into my truck between beefing up suspension cleaning maintenance and exhaust cai programmer. then again i dont need a 12 second truck and wanted a mostly stock look. i have a few photos in my library of the trucks progress. then i stopped uploading and this is how it sits today

I think these might be my first MOD that I do, just need to make sure they are legal in SC.

Thanks fNu. I have really enjoyed my "old" truck. When I can upgrade I'm hoping to go your route on the next one. Especially the lamps and tails to finish the black on black on b
black look. Your truck is perfect
