What is it with Chrysler and their eternal f*'n electrical problems?!? This has become the stuff of legends, over decades! The other day my '12 w/ 1500 miles displayed a low tire warning for one cycle, less than 10 min., then went away! Checked, and no low tire, WTF?! I hope my fears don't come true, as I have always shyed away from Chrysler products in the past for this very reason! I really hope I'm wrong, I love this truck otherwise.

Sorry for the rant. OP, check your terminals for ANY corrosion (even a couple mils can disrupt circuit), and check your termination at starter and ground points. Get local auto parts store to do electrical system check (should be free, just make sure they know what they're doing).

I haven't seen this issue in my truck, but I only have 440 miles on it.

Is there a certain mark when these issues start to turn up?

Knocking right at 10K's door and I too have had no starting issues mentioned in this thread or the like.

I scrapped my OEM battery not long after purchase, though.....

Yeah brother, and I more often than not drive it long n' hard.

My ride's not heavily - or even mildly- modded by anyone's stretch of the imagination, but I often drive it like it is.

Best damn truck since..... well, best damn truck ever!

Painted or not the threads of a bolt create a more than sufficient ground connection. Have not had this problem myself but to me this is hardly a reason for concern if its not leaving you stranded.

I have a 2011, and i'd say once or twice a month mine does a weird sputtering when I go to start it. The revs stay really low and it almost feels like it's starving for air... it sounds pretty sick when it does it, hah, but it always turns over after a second or two. pretty random and strange if ya ask me. The worst part is the majority of the time it does it, is when babes are walking by in a parking lot. (no joke). Made the dealer take note of it and if it continues to happen i'll be sending it in for surgery.

Sorry, I had a coupla beers before that post! Being a mechanic back in the 80's-90's, it seemed like Chrysler products were constantly having electrical issues, but hopefully just what it is...the past. I absolutely LOVE this truck, and don't want anything bad to happen to her!

I have the answer to the click and no start problem I believe for ya. I had a couple ongoing threads for awhile, took several months to get it figured out, but here is the fix: Solenoid pack in trans. and extra ground installed. Now I have no more issues. Delaer fixed it and trouble free again. I am a happy camper Good luck.
