Default Sudden A/C problem on my 2012

Yesterday I went to get in my truck after starting it remotely and noticed that the A/C was not on. I always leave it on precisely because I use the remote start to cool the truck a little before I get in. Today I did some errands and every time I got back into the truck it had forgotten the A/C settings. I also notice that when I turn them back on it takes about 15 seconds before the A/C blows from the dash vents and not from the floor vents. Guess I have to take it in to be checked out. Anyone else seen this problem? I'm expecting the dealer to give me a hard time when he sees I have removed the radio and shifter bezels to paint and install a Lockpick, but all that was over 6 months ago and could not have had anything to do with this.

Doesn't the truck check the outside temperature and put the heat/air conditioning on? Maybe it wasnt hot enough out? I forget where I read what the temperature had to be.

I've never heard this or seen it. It's always remembered the last setting and been on when I get in. Besides, this is Florida and it is still in the mid-80s here.

I know this might go against few here that say that pulling the battery connector of the battery will do nothing since all information is held in a cmos type memory and cannot get erased when removing the - pole on the battery, but If I was having that problem, I would pull the negative cable off the battery for a 1.2 hour and put it back on and see if it might reset something screwy in the system. I was having just that thought yesterday and may try it today. Will be a hassle to reprogram everything from scratch (radio, garage door opener) but it could fix the issue and that's easier than a trip to the stealer.

Disconnected the battery for about 3 hours and no difference. Funny thing is that I didn't lose the radio settings, BT pairing or station presets nor the garage door opener memory or EVIC memory. Either these things are stored in non-volatile memory or there is some kind of backup power supply for them.

See thats what another member was saying, seems that on these new trucks the memory for everything is stored in some kind of cmos memory chip that cannot loose its info if the battery goes dead, and was also told the only way to reset the ECU was via the dealer. sort of sucks, cause if you had an idiot light on the dash, you could just reset it by pulling the battery - cable and you would reset everything. Not anymore LOL

Got an appointment tomorrow to bring her into the dealer. Can't wait to see what they say.
