Well I definitely don't want to pick a fight with you "drag racers" but all the guy was doin is showing what the truck could potentially have left in it with a little help from traction , and Im sure a high 14 sec truck won't have much of a problem with that , and a little cooler air and lower da, good base run by the way, which I'm sure would be around 14.7 corrected, keep us posted as you mod

There's no fight about it...if I can help someone learn something then it's all good.
Incremental times are very important in dissecting a pass or comparing passes.
If you had them to post I may be able to see something you're not seeing and help you learn something new about racing. There's a lot more to it than stabbing the gas and going.
Something as simple as how you stage can have a big effect on your ET.

I here tht, I've been racing this truck the same for about 2 years know, and with little adjustments, which is one of the reasons I know how much da effects theses trucks. I had a night early this year where the da started in the 1500 range and drop below sea level to about -500 in a matter of 4 hrs, on street tires in 45 degree weather I started the night in the upper 8.70 range and and as the night went on I got quicker and quicker, end up running multiple mid 8.50 passes by the end of the night , same staging and launch...
These hemi's hate heat and high da's, I know only from experience and seeing a bunch of these trucks be affected by it, and all of us wondered why we would fluctuate .3-.4 tenths from week to week with weather changes, that why I listen to ppl and understand when they post corrected time along with their acctual time, I don't think that guy was tryin to say 14.7 is what it would have run, but more so what it could have possibly run in the right conditions with supporting factors, traction, no head wind, etc.

What do you mean by this? Elevation change...?

What did the temperature drop to? That's already pretty cool out. Here in FL the runs I've made have been in the high 90's, I think that's partly why I run so much slower than other similar trucks.

Yes, the measure air density, temperature, humidity and such in elevation , go google DA calculators and see what you find, I'm sure it's one reason your truck is slower than comparable trucks, dragtimes.com has a calculator that's fairly accurate

I'm familiar with density altitude, just don't understand what you are saying about the elevation dropping below sea level...?

Are you saying that the DA adjustment was so low that it was as if you were at that elevation(below sea level)?

What he said^, say its 40 degrees, 35 % humidity, and 30.50 barometric pressure, your gonna have a da well below zero. Hope that helps

I dont see any times posted with your RT.???.
Theres nothing wrong with looking at corrected numbers to get a idea as to what the truck might run.
When I take my truck to a track at a lower elevation,my times improve everytime.

..I did run 12.4, mostly 12.6's last weekend here..had traction issues tho so I think I'm goin back to slicks next time out.. altho it was a nice cool day (about 64 degrees), because of an impending storm, humidity was pretty high..

vid of 12.8 run..I caught and beat the guy in brackets..
