Default Fog Lights

So when I originally bought my truck it was a simple slt with no fog lights and chrome bumpers, since then I have gotten a sport bumper colour matched with fog lights. The problem was how to get the switch and harnesses cheaply. So to solve all those problems with mopar parts I got my dealer to order me the mopar fog light kit, which is for lights in the lower grill in between the tow hooks, this worked great and was a simple install although the directions are wrong and you need to refer to a wiring manual for the correct installation pin outs. I had everything I wanted factory fog lights and colour match bumpers. But I had 2 extra fog lights and brackets for the lower grill, one day I decided I was putting them in, everything was going great but I decided I wanted the plastic insert to go around the lights. I installed the brackets and lights no problem then I went to cut the grill. Everything was great and I was in the process of cutting out around the last bolt whole when the blade of the exacto knife I was using snapped and went flying, through my pinkie finger. It severed the tendons in my finger and has required 2 operations and 30 stitches to repair the damage. I still have not been able to finish this mod and am atleast 8 weeks away from a finalized product

HOLY SH*T! That's a serious injury for a mod. Do we have medals to give out for injured modders?

That first pic of the truck what bumper is that? I see its a color matched but its not a sport bumper. The fogs in the middle would look cool though.

thats a pic off the mopar site. I think its just a digital rendering. The local dodge dealer puts alot of them on company trucks the CAT dealer has all theirs done. It is nice provides good light in the center

Holy crap man. Yeah I would not use a thin knife like that for cutting thick plastic, that's what dremels and such are for! Hopefully you heal up 100%. I had an injury in my left hand a while back and almost lost some range, was lucky.

On topic of the lights, so you are using the factory fog lights with factory sport plastic bumper, but with the fog light kit harness and switch?

Could you post any more info on this? You were trying to get all 4 lights to be on the fog light switch?
