Default Electric problem

Hello, this thread goes along with the one I wrote about the turn signal problem. This truck has 84000 miles on. I just bought this truck and I've only put 30 miles on it so far. Since I've owned it the transmission acted weird. It would shift normally through first and second and then shift through the rest really quick. Today the turn signal went into the quick flash. It lasted a few miles and then went back to normal. Now the transmission is shifting correctly. All help is appreciated. Best, CB

The fast flashing is a bad bulb or connection in the turn signal circuit. The trans could need a throttle valve cable adjustment. Unless you have a known history of how it was maintained, I would service the trans fluid and adjust the bands as well.

Thanks for the reply. The bulb is not bad. I checked the wire terminals at the plug with a volt meter. I have no power there. As for the trans. the fluid looks and smells like it was just changed but the pan gasket and the bolts were not messed with at least not in the near distant past. I have no info. on the service history. This truck is really clean. I was underneath of it for a while just looking around. There is no rust anywhere on it. Best, CB
