Default Anyone have experience with VIS racing ?

They make the only SRT10 style hood for Gen4 Ram's I've found. It's carbon fiber which I don't really care about...I just want the style. It may look cool painted body color except for the scoop/cowl area though...I guess it would break up the silver some and match my wheels at the same time.

They make a good carbon fiber product. I had one on a civic. It's not as high end as some stuff, but much better than low end carbon fiber. Just make sure to wax the exposed carbon sections just like your regular paint and you'll be fine. You'll see a pretty decent weight difference between your stock hood and carbon fiber.

I too have been looking at these hoods. I love the SRT style hood, and it just happens i am looking for more carbon fiber, to add to the black truck

I saw a Ram with the glue on hood scoop just the other day
to tell the truth, it looked like someone had just sat it on the hood to test how it would look
I gave it a slight push, it didn't move, but it sure looked like it would
i would think that they would at least feather the edges & give you a bit of body filler to make it look right

I have a Vis Racing CF hood for my GSX Eclipse, they are an awesome product the only thing you need for them is a set of hood pins. now i say that because the latches on there hood are known to break. so some Aerocatch hood pins they are the best by far and they look good too. just my .02$ tho, i may even look into a CF hood for our trucks too

I had no issues with my latch and mine was daily driven.

well I didnt have hood pins and mine just broke off going about 80mph down the highway and it just happened to fly up smash my windsheild and destroy the hood in the process, and the hood pins are to have a piece of mind. i also had a Vis racing hood on my Evo X without hood pins and didnt have any issues and i went 140+ many times in that car so again its just to have a piece of mind
