Default One halo brighter than other??

i hooked up my spec d with dual halos and the low beam halo is bright and nice, and the hi beam halo is very dim, on both lights, but when i hook them directly to the battery they work fine, what is my problem?

Did you hook up the halos with a separate power source from the headlights, through a relay that'll turn them on with the switch?

What it sounds like is that you're getting a little bit of voltage drop..

I"m not sure how you have them hooked up, and if you've done it the way I'm suggesting, then hopefully someone who has installed halos will be along to add an opinion. I'm going based on my electrical knowledge, not personal experience with halos.

Run a separate wire to use as a power source for the halos through a relay. Activate the relay from your headlights, i.e. when the headlights (or parking lights if you prefer) come one, a signal is sent to the relay, which will activate it, turning on the halos.

By doing it that way, it should reduce the current load on the headlight circuit, and it'll give you the option of adding a switch, where you can turn the halos on separate from the headlights if you choose (will just have to adjust how the relay is activated)

good luck and I hope this helps

Exco
