Default 2012 Ram Stock Sirius Antenna Location?????

Trying to locate where the factory Sirius antenna is plugged in at on a 2012 1500 Ram Big Horn. Want to replace factory radio with aftermarket and have read many post saying all you have to do is remove the plastic clip and you can use the factory antenna with an aftermarket Sirius tuner. Just not sure if it's behind the radio or somewhere else any help would be appreciated.

On the OEM radios I'm familiar with (RES, RHR).. The Sirius antenna plugs into the back of the radio. You will most likely need an adapter to plug it into the back of the aftermarket radio.. I also believe that the roof antenna on your 2012 is a combination GPS/Sirius antenna.

Default Sirius

I just found my stock antenna plug, right under the glove box. I took the clip off and exposed the plug and it doesn't look like it will be able to plug into the adapter. The pictures I have seen from the guys doing it show a different plug on the end. Theirs are a round female plug, and my antenna is a longer male plug. Let me know what you guys have been able to accomplish, I really wish I wouldn't have to run another antenna. I have seen a few adapters online, but I don't know what I need?
