AutoAnything has always been my go to Auto parts supplier in the past for my trucks. Never have had any type of problems and everything was shipped w/tracking (great communication) on time when they said it would.
Of course that was back in 2013 and been doing so since 2006 without ever a problem.
However, has this company taken a turn for the worse in the last two years? I don't know.
Maybe it was just my order....
Placed an order on 01/22 for a set of Lund Nerf bars for my 2015 Ram. Was advised it was "In Stock" and will ship out between 01/29 to 02/02. That right there should have been a “red flag” for this order. If an item is “in stock” I shouldn't have to wait 5 plus business days for an item to ship out.
Okay, so maybe it will have to be ordered from the manufacturer. That's fine and if that is/was the case then let me know this up front and don't advertise an item as being “in stock” when it truly isn't.
Having ordered in the past without a hitch...I didn't think twice about it and placed the order for the Lund bars knowing shipping wasn't within a day or two...but several.


Second problem and lack of communication. During the waiting time for the bars to ship out. I went back to there website and was checking on a few other items when I noticed that the price of the Lund bars went down. Well right on there site it states they have a 1-Year Lower Price Guarantee .
I said great...let me send them an email. Heck, I would save almost $9 bucks...hey money back in my pocket!
Sent off a detailed email to them on 01/28. Three days later! I get a reply.....”Our system is temporarily down for maintenance and will be back up again by 2 pm PST. Your request is important to us and we will provide a response within 24 hours.”

That message was on the 01/31. So much for the 24 hour response seeing how its is now 02/02 and within two hours it will make it FEB 03!

So at this time, I'm sitting here with a pass due shipping date and still know word on the price match.

Yes, I know it takes a phone call to find out what is going on ….but that shouldn't have be the case!

I guess its time to pick up the phone in the morning and find out...maybe even cancel the order and give my money to someone else.

At this point I'm not a happy camper.

Did just that RamTeck!
Just got off the phone with them and did just as you stated.
CS agent stated that the Bars were not in stock and it would take approx. 3 weeks....
Unreal, the sad part was I needed to find out by calling them instead of a simple email from them stating that the order wasnt in stock and what I wanted to do.
So If I never called, it possible could be almost two months for this order to arrive.

Never again...

So far so good with everything I have ordered from them. Things do happen and sometimes you get an oh-shit. Do agree that they dropped the ball in the communication department with you. Maybe a little good will something something is in order?

I was just venting my frustration.

Thanks Tom..I do have to say that it was an easy process to cancel the order. I got the refund within a day. So no complaint there.

Just disapointed.
