You can also move up from the stock 16mm bar to the 22mm bar used on the quad can trucks.

Huh, didn't know about this mod... I'll have to call Hellwig on Monday and see how think theirs is...

Edit - Hellwigs is 7/8", so about 22.22 mm! Now I'll have to see which one is cheaper!!

be careful on this. I think there is 3 different bars installed on Rams depending on trim level. I think the 22mm comes on sportier models rather than just plane QC/CC tradesman, outdoorsman, big horn, etc. I'd find a ram at the dealer that you think has the big 22 mm and measure to be sure. then get the vin of that truck and use it to order one like it. I think there is a 16, 20, and 22mm. My truck has a 20mm and I saw another sports/racy looking ram with a 22mm.

The hellwig rear bar is very nice- I recommend it without reservation. Choose one of three setting and you'll find your sweet spot. I put it on a 2013 Laramie and it was a huge improvement over the dinky OEM bar.

The Hellwig is going to cost more, but it's adjustable and probably made of a different spring steel. The factory 22mm works great for me for now and with bushings was less than $100. The part number I believe is 68061789AA.

Thanks for replies, guys. Question though. You mention adjustable Hellwigs. What does adjusting change?

Basically, the bars are adjustable for stiffness. The outer, or rearmost, setting, from what I understand, is the softest, while the inner, or forward most, setting is the firmest. I'm installing my Hellwig, along with the adjustable end links, tomorrow, so I can check back to confirm, but the above comments are based on what I've read on this and other forums.
