The 8 speed with 3.92s will have quicker overall ratios than the 6sp/4.10 combo and lower highway revs

I debated pretty hard on getting a R/T last year and probably would have except it was a LOT slower than my Trailblazer SS..... So I got a challenger instead lol

If I can get a RC/SB either R/T or sport with the 8 speed, I may have to consider the truck again!

My R/T runs with srt10 trucks so I don't know what you mean by a LOT slower than a trailblazer but bring it on.

I tried to spec a '13 R/T with the 8 speed on Saturday, but the R/T was not even an option on their Dealer Connect! Anybody have any ideas on this or how to spec it out?

I cant even build a 2013 R/T on the ramtrucks.ca website, I even looked under "Sport" to see if maybe it was hidden there and it wasn't.

Not talking smack (as the Trailblazer is long gone) but that ran a 13.89 bone stock lol

I have yet to take my challenger to the track yet but hoping to this weekend end if the rain holds out!

If I can get a RC/SB with the 8 speed, I may be looking to to trade the Challenger in!

There is no problem with strength or friction materials with the ZF eight-speed. This is the best transmission in the world and is used in the Rolls-Royce Phantom and in high performance models of the BMW and Audi with more than 500 horsepower. Fewer clutches is what gives it its efficiency, thus better fuel mileage. We ordered an R/T and we are waiting for the eight-speed.

The way that Dealer Connect works is you choose body configuration first. So at my dealer it was 2wd reg cab, then sub model. R/T was not among them. I watched him try and find it for 20 minutes.
