Funny you say that, Doug.. I'm actually using your previous harness as an example of not only how to assemble all the components, but also of how not to have the finished product look.. LOL! Congrats again on finding yourself back in a Ram so quickly. Life is full of surprises.

I agree.. my harness was certainly a working one but not a very pretty one. If/when I get another set of tails I will have to make sure the new harness I create is much cleaner.

Man have I been every the busy body this week.. and it's only Tuesday!? Ugh!

Now that I am healed up and returned to work, I feel obligated to apologize to the Forum for my inherent lack of postings. I know I am still here daily, but I am experiencing withdrawals. I guess I got used to being able to lurk all day. Ah well. Nice to have a paycheck again though.

Working on getting prepped for Christmas.. gift shopping and furniture shopping as well. Turns out we will be expecting two of the four kids for the holiday this year (finally got them to come to us instead of whining about how we aren't coming to them.. LOL!).

Eric, the youngest, will be arriving in his new truck. I knew it was a black Ram, but that was it. While on the phone, I asked him if there is anything he'd like for his Ram and I learned exactly what it is he has now.. 2012 Ram 2500 CTD Laramie CC in black. I about died. Can't wait to see this in person and get some side-by-side shots (although I am not sure about the photos as I don't want to make my baby look puny.. LOL!).

I did buy another wiring harness with the plan on modding his truck with the extra Recon Xtreme I've had laying around. He's not as addicted to lights as I am, but I don't think he'll turn down the mod.

We are also trying to work in some hunting as the season for our draw area is open and we are in dire need of some elk meat in our freezer. Soooo.. hopefully, by the end of the year (or maybe not) I will get my new LED tails in and get some pics for you guys!

I'd be real interested in seeing some of your hunting pictures. You are taking pictures, right?

Yes, Roger, hunting pictures are a requirement. How else can you prove what you shot??

Update:
The dealer's body shop had my baby for a few hours Friday to remove and reattach the factory fender flares under warranty. Seems this is a common issue and they were not at all surprised by my request for a warranty submission. Makes me wonder how long this fix will last. But again, just as was my experience with them when they installed my Recon cab lights back in April.. they are an awesome crew! Got my Ram back completely spotless (although that didn't last long due to adverse weather conditions, lol) and the flares look as they first did. I am very pleased!

While I was waiting for them to complete the work, I was finishing up my Christmas goodies packages. I bake cookies, yes, but I work mainly with chocolate. This year I made chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, peanut butter and graham cracker dipped sandwiches and, of course, nut clusters. I give a tin to my UPS driver, FedEx driver, mail lady, trash collector and the few neighbors we have nearby. And depending on how I'm feeling (and if I made too much - which is normally the case!), I fill up some larger tins for some local businesses. This year.. the lucky recipients were my dry cleaners and the service dept and body shop at my dealer. All received with plenty of smiles.

I have been extremely busy catching up with work this month (so many people, so little hand power!) but now that my husband is home AND on VACATION for the rest of the MONTH (burning what does not carry over to next year).. I swear.. now that we finally got the exterior Christmas lights up today.. I will be naggi.. err.. persuading him into starting on my LED tails project with me.

Very nice, Kai! You have a big heart! And, could you teach my wife how to "persuade" instead of nag?

Hello Kai,
Just wondering what model Stubby Antenna did you go with and where did you purchase it? I received the shipping notice on my Ram, so expect it in the next couple of weeks and want to put together a few "easy" winter upgrades to get started on day one.
