So you should be okay if you match the rears. It's the way it should have come from the factory IMO. Here in Ontario the law is vague. It must be possible for the cops to see that you are wearing your seatbelt. Or something like that. I have mine at 20% and have never been pulled over for it.

Yes, the seatbelt topic. Lord how they love to over play that one.
So, since I haven't done anything to the tint at all.. my front windows have no tint right now from the factory and the rear windows are tinted at the factory at 20%?

There may be some tint from the factory but it's minimal. Perhaps check out some other trucks in the area / state and see what they are getting away with before having anything done.

Basically, looking for this chart to be filled in my brain...

Front tint = ?%
Rear Tint = ?%

And the rear tint.. does that include the sliding rear window panel? Or just the passenger windows?
Sorry!
The rear door Windows are 20% along with the rear window and slider.
I to have 20%, but as RansRam stated, out law here is vague

Reverse! The lower the number the darker

Basically....
20% = 20% of the light enters/passes through the tint
40% = similar to above, 40% of the light will pass through.

So basically the lower % you go, the darker the tint is.
You should see what 5% looks like.
Almost seems like you painted your window black

Awesome!!! That means that I can tint my front windows to 43%!
Utah State law states..
"The driver and front seat passenger side windows must not allow less than 43 percent light transmittance. All other windows behind the front seat have no minimum light transmittance requirements."

So I can have 43% tint on the front windows.. right??

Correct!
You can do 40% tint as there isn't a 43% tint.
Next level is 50% and that's too light

Now that is some of the best news I've heard all day! (Well, removing the b pillar tape was sweet too )
And, yes, I have seen the darkened windows and in my state, there is no limit on how dark the rear windows can be.. so, in theory, I could go:
Front: 40%
All Rear: 5%
Hehehehe, that's just the awesomest!

So now that the pillars are done and the tints settled on what's next
