Pretty sure the wife is so sick of the amount of money time and frustration this thing has caused if I can't get it right she's not gonna be happy if I tell her I wanna order another new transmission lol. My stock tranny cooler is also the A/C condenser all in one $609 dollar package. I haven't looked into the cost or effort required to install the HD cooler from a 68RFE but I'm thinking about leaving the stock one in place and rigging up an aftermarket one right up front to see if this fixes the problem before dropping over $600 into another one from the dealership. After running this idea by Denny from SharaDon he says that it could be possible that my tranny cooler is clogged after all the transmission failures i've had but he still suspects the PCM is bad and or not getting the tune uploaded properly from the Predator some how and needs to be replaced. What kinda times have you gotten on the track with your current mods?

do you have a tranny temp guage as one of the guages? it would be nice to monitor how hot it's getting?

Not sure how hot the stock tranny got but the first SharaDon one failed while I was data logging and driving it fast about 10 miles because I was seeing if it would heat up after nothing was found to be wrong with it mechanically after several trips back to the installer when it wasn't driving right. It hit 201 F before tranny fluid spewed out, hit the headers and caught on fire. Upon tear down Denny said it looked like the torque converter fins folded over for some reason and it was super heated. After it was rebuilt and I got it back it wasn't running right again and the last time I drove slow on the highway it overheated within 20 miles or so. I parked it for 30 minutes then hooked up my Predator and started to drive it back home at 40mph on the highway and it was up over 200F and climbed to 237F within a couple miles before I shut it down and called a tow truck.

you might be on to something...if you can figure out how to keep the tranny cooler (mine normally runs below 150 ), it may solve something and maybe a clogged cooler line could be a factor... I'm sayin this cuz i went through a few trannys myself and found my edge tq verter went bad, back then I didn't have a tranny gauge but since I installed mine i watch it like a hawk and do worry if it gets to 170ish if i'm not workin it...

Clean set up! Ya I probably need to get a good set of trans temp gauges that read the temp before and after the cooler.

Thats pretty hot i have a 3500 hemi work truck and if the trans temp gets to 175 its been worked hard and it weighs about 14,000 lbs so i would try an after market cooler thats where i would start also look into the 68rfe hd tranny swap if you cant figure it out and that ahould hold the power for you also since they r burning up rather quick i would make sure the pump on the transmission is good and also gettingthe torque converter in right i dont see this being the problem but anything is possible

I don't think the 68RFE would bolt up to my Hemi but maybe somebody makes an adapter kit. Ya mines definitely getting hot, or I should say my last one was haven't got the new one in yet it's being installed now

Hit up MGH on here. He does some great work with trannys. He builds a trans that is really good. He puts more frictions in it then are in the 68RFE but it is in the 54RFE shell so it fits our trucks. He might be able to help you. He does a lot of work with HHP.
