Haha alright, I'll look into it. More rubber will definitely help.

Stock Vortec 350 is 255 HP and 330 TQ. His gearing is probably lower as well since Chevy's came with 235/75/15's stock. Not to mention the weight difference.

...I get excited readin threads like this , the key when i race is that i don't floor it from a dig cuz I hate spinnin..I start aggressive and then floor it about 100 feet later..I manual shift as well (lotsa fun since I changed to a floor ratchet shifter) and get up to 6400 rpms before I shift..

Yeah I'm gonna learn how to launch it right without spinning. And I think I saw a picture of something like that somewhere. You got a pic? I'd be interested in one. I've started manually shifting it, and it's just a whole helluva lot more fun.

Dude...that's a sweet get up. I don't suppose you'd tell me where you got it? Or is it a custom set up?

not custom...it's a B & M megashifter (80690)..you can adjust height by adding blocks to the base if you want..they make a truck megashifter which is a little taller... really easy install...only a 1" diameter hole needs to be drilled for the cable...
