I Have used Amsoil from day one, five oil changes now. Nothing else has gone into my RAM. It's a bit more expensive but has excellent reviews. Yes you can extend the drain interval however I would make sure you still follow the manufacturers recommendations for service. Mine says change the oil every 10,000 kilometers which is what I have been doing. There are several threads on here about oils, most use either Amsoil or Mobile 1 or royal purple.

I use it exclusively and have been for many years.

Nothing but great performance and expectation meets.

BTW, it's one word and pronouced just that way, Amsoil.

I appreciate the info! I guess my last question about this is how often do you change your oil using this? From what im reading its still suggested to change it every 6000-8000 miles, does that sound about right?

I too use Amsoil as of my last oil change, thanks to ^^^
Randy, so you change your oil every 10k?

I swapped out after 8k and the oil in there was DIRTY. Not sure if another 2k would have been good or recommended.

Ill be swapping mine out every 7500-8km not miles

I also use Amsoil in my RAM as well as my Charger and dirtbike. If you sign up for the preferred customer program you can save some $$.

Amsoil is what is used in my truck, my FIL is a dealer so I get it from him. Initial costs are higher however you have less oil changes so it is actually cheaper. There is an Amsoil distributor 1/2 mile down the street from my office.
