I used my truck to block an intersection today.

I saw an elderly woman crossing the road and she had a misstep and fell flat on her face. I could hear the wind exhaling from her body as she hit the deck.

I parked my truck in a way that both lanes couldn't go by my, and I got out and helped her up, dusted her off and sent her on her way.

The funny part (or surprising is more like it), is not one person honked their horn at me as blocked off my flow of traffic.

Usually people are knobs until they see what you are doing, but not this time?

Thank you human kind, you have restored my faith in you if ever so slightly! LOL....

I pulled out the mirror from the passenger door mirror housing took the puddle lights out that the dealer couldn't help me with and started rebuilding them myself. I cleaned and painted the reflector with krylon chrome finish, installed two clear and one orange l.e.d. into the black housing I drilled two 5/32 holes where the square outlines are under the original clears and notched the amber holder then drilled a hole about 2 inches behind this and installed an amber led and super glued them in place then I figured out the wiring combo and wired them up, after resealing the lens with Dow Corning 732 clear RTV/adhesive. put every thing back together and it worked like brand new. I did take some photos and notes so I hopefully can put together a how to on this sometime. Anyway that is part of what I did today.

On Saturday, drove it in it's first taste of winter. Highways were quite wet, with slush collecting on the road surface. Ended up passing most people as I was able to keep speed no problem in 2wd (110 km/h). The only time I was really able to feel loss of traction was turning onto the highway in spruce grove as it had snowed more in that area. So far the stock tires are doing not too bad. Will be interesting to see how they handle the rest of the winter! Oh and I found out that I can't top the tank off to the nearest litre like I can in my car. I tried to and it ended up overflowing out the filler neck. Haven't had that happen in a long time.

Thank for the rep points, but I'd like to think that anyone of us would have done the same.

I can't help but think "what if that was my Mom" in situations like these?

Installed Bilstein 5100's all around. I love the smooth ride and the leveled look. Now I just need to buy wheels and tires.

Okay hand on heart time......

When I saw the pictures my first thought was, "oh I don't know about that, looks kind of bad", then I went to your link and watched the video.

I am much more interested now than I was at the beginning!

Thanks for the link, and the pictures!

Cool mode.

I want one of those, for the price its a cheap easy way to get in and out of the bed..

***Edit*** I just ordered 3 of these, one for me, one for my father and one for my father-in-law What a great idea...

Oh, to get back on topic, Today I attempted to fit my vararam on but I had to order a couple things so its off until they come in..
