I've been trying to figure out what I have to do to make the tail gate seal kit stick to the bed without coming off and sticking to the tail gate when I open it. I'm using alcohol to clean the surface before applying the seal. I've had to buy to kit so far.

Maybe even a slight sand too to rough up the surface a bit. And eithor a 3m double sides tape or gorilla glue.. Gorilla glue does magic and holds very strong.

I took my truck for an oil change, because I buy my oil changes in a package deal from my shop off wagjag, (3 oil changes for $30) and took down my both of parents winters tires to get them mounted for their suvs on rims. I then ripped along to school and parked it beside a black 08 Ram.

When I want something to stick and not come off, I use 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive. I have used many cases of this spray adhesive at work for over 30 years. The trick is to spray many coats over the area until the sprayed area turns yellow with adhesive. On the last coat wait until it is just barely wet and then stick the parts together.

I applied it to both parts, but they didn't have any adhesive. As for your bed seal I would only spray the truck and stick the bed seal.

Mask off the area where you are going to spray.

Hope this helps.

Truck isn't here yet but my new wheels are. Spent some time today masking off parts of the wheels so I can plasti-dip them. When done, They will be part black and part chrome.

Hoping to have them all done this week and maybe even have a truck to put them on!

I put double sided tape on the inside of the drivers side door because it was making wind noise whenever a strong crosswind hit and now the seals stay in their place tightly and no more wind noise. Other than that I haven't had to do anything to it.

Well of course! Got some shots already with the masking on. I plan to do a build thread if the truck ever gets here! I've got quite the pile of goodies stacking up in the garage...
