Since I got home after midnight, I think it still counts as today.

I drove about 150 miles roundtrip, hauling a pinball machine on the home leg.

Almost forgot to take a picture before I unloaded it.

And today was plasti-dip day...

Prepped:

3 coats...

6th (and final) coat...

And masking off (but after a drive to pick up my wife from work, DAMN SALT!)...

That's all I had time for today... I still plan on doing the same to the RAM 1500 on the side and the 4x4 on the tailgate.
Then once all the salt is done for the year, I am going to take my running board off and do those... and finally I'll be doing the bumpers. I wish I could keep the parking sensors plasti-dipped, but considering salt sets the damned things off, I'm going to have grey knobs on my blacked out bumpers.

Oh, and I also cleaned my rims with that Super Clean cleaner (in the purple bottle) that was suggested in another thread. DAMN, that stuff works awesome! The best cleaner I've used yet... I really appreciate the tip on that one!

Well it hit about 7c yesterday... I figured that was about as warm as it is going to get in the next little bit - at least not without rain associated with the temp. So I got er done. We'll see how well it holds up. LOL

Nothing too exciting here, but finally have a couple days with no RAIN !. Spent 4 hours washing, waxing and detailing. Also got a chance to put the emblem of my favorite team on. Looks pretty good to me. I use Optimum wash, and Surf City Spray Wax,Sonas trim and motor Kote for the wheel wells and engine compartment. Surf City Beyond Black for tires. I know theres probably a lot better products, but hey thats what i like. Take care everyone......

Froze my butt yesterday lol. My factory remote start kit arrived so I installed what I could (hood switch & antenna). Going to make an appointment for today (hopefully) or this weekend for my dealer to install the WIN & flash it to my truck.

The replacement hood latch with the switch was an easy swap. Truck was already pre-wired for the switch, however the connector was corroded inside (probably from hanging in the engine compartment for 37k miles uncovered) so I cut it off and spliced in the connector that came with the kit.

A word of caution for those with the USB port in their upper storage bin looking to install this kit themselves... the USB connector does not simply unplug from the back of the bin by pulling off. It's pretty deceptive since the bin only comes out part way and you're on your back looking up at it with a flashlight. It actually slides (up or down) on plastic rails that hold it in place - the instructions make no mention of this. So do yourselves a favor, be sure to try sliding the USB plug up or down from the back of the bin, don't pull it straight back or you'll break the rails off!

Jake

Yesterday afternoon I had packages waiting by the door when I got home from work. Installed S&B CAI, 85mm ported TB, and Trinity tuner. \m/

Well, actually this was this past weekend, but I replaced my basic SLT radio with the touchscreen MyGig radio, replaced my basic chrome front bumper without fog lights with another bumper with the fog lights, replaced the tow mirrors with regular mirrors with LEDs, and replaced stock tail lights with halogen bulbs with new tail ights with LED lights. Pics will go up later in this thread as well as the Mod Thread I will create.
