Default Front Air Dam Mod

When I finished my oil change and while my truck was still on the ramps I took a look at that front air dam that I hate so much. So I got to work and removed it...

But I didnt like the bolts and other stuff that was visible on the bottom of the bumper. So I started thinking... I took my roll of 2" blue tape and marked the top edge of the air dam. Then using it as a guide I started cutting with my jig saw.

When I was done cutting I took my file and cleaned up the cut. I left the tape on so I wouldn't mark up the air dam from filing.

Then reinstalled it back on the truck. Much better if you ask me.

No more ugly air dam, or exposed bolts and other things.

any loss in mpg is offset by the reduction of weight from the removal of the excess air dam material

80% of my driving is in the city or off road, 20% on the open highway. I seriously doubt I'll notice any difference.

It is there for a reason, but again it'll be very slight decrease in hwy mpg. Mine doesn't bother me, but if it did then this is a great mod to do.

You gained ground clearance I assume? (I've bottomed mine out a few times).
