Default I like my 02 but where do I start?

I bought an '02 Ram (4x4, 4D, 5.9 Magnum) a few years back and when I did it already had 190K miles on it. I have had the trans rebuilt and I really don't think the guy did a great job. I like the truck, I would like to keep the truck but I don't know where to start. There are body issues, the engine feels tired (no smoke yet), the heater doesn't blow hot air (luke warm at best) and the tranny feels ....meh, at best.

I would like a lift (2-3"'s tops), I picked up nice tires and rims (20's off an '08), but that is secondary to everything else. What would be easiest and or cheapest. I only paid 5K for the thing so putting another 10-12 over the course of the next five years wouldn't be a real issue. It will be a daily driver and expected to take the family camping (no towing involved unless it would be a small pop-up).

I am basically looking for ideas.

I'd get it mechanically sound before tackling the cosmetic issues. It sounds like your heater core is plugged. Is your dash cracked too? Since you have to pull the dash to replace the core, it would be a good time to do so.
