Exclamation Mopar Cold Air Intake

Im planning on buying the cold air intake from mopar for my (2012 Ram 1500 Longhorn)
i have a couples questions
How much horsepower will I gain?
Is this a good idea or just leave it stock?
Will my truck use more of less fuel?
Where can is the cheapest place to buy it it Canada Shipped or from the states shipped?

From the Dealer I assume it will be over priced.

yes. paid 125 to have it installed. when i priced it they told me 475.00 told them i wanted to use mopar on my ram, but i could get a k&n for 350. they went down to 400 i will say the sound is better than the k&n. if you dont like intake noise, might not like it.it growels with very little throttle

You will not see any noticeable power gains with a CAI. You will hear a lot of growling but no gains.

I did the Mopar CAI, looks great, sounds great and with the Magnaflow 16869 catback it’s the perfect combo IMO. I noticed the gas is allot better when I’m good but really sux when I’m bad..lol... gets up to 21-23 on the freeway at 60-65mph compared to 18-20 stock but drops to 12-14 in the city from 14-16 stock..this is the computer not real numbers...have not done those yet. In the end the average is probably the same.... This is all I’m doing to it…. I got the 100,000 ml war…

I also have 3.92 gearing so I’m supposed to get 1 or 2 mpg less according to Chrysler/Dodge

Outside of the great looks and sound (sometimes not so great) you will see little else. The 2012 already have a great air box and you will get the same little gains from a good high flow drop in filter. With that being said if I was going to pick one it would be a price only choice between the S&B or Volant. I really like the way those 2 look.
